Cyclists from across the community are gearing up for “Ride for a Reason,” an all-day outdoor cycling fundraiser to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Taking place Saturday, August 1st, classes start at 5 AM and run every hour in Good’s parking lot. Organizer Annie Crabtree hopes to bring together riders of every level, offering an alternative for those who might find running challenging. All proceeds aid children and families fighting cancer. Attendees can expect energetic workouts, camaraderie, and a powerful purpose behind every pedal. Those preferring to run can still join the St. Jude Kewanee to Peoria run.

The Henry and Stark County St. Jude Runs team is preparing for a landmark 15th anniversary in 2026, marking the occasion with its annual run on August 1st. Organizers are still celebrating last year’s success, as the team nearly doubled both its size and donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year, the fundraising target stands at $67,000. Community members are encouraged to register for this year’s event and invite friends or family to participate. Every contribution and step taken directly supports children fighting cancer. To sign up, donate, or learn more, visit stjuderuns.org or check the team’s Facebook page.
