Illinois State Police have arrested 22-year-old Micah Ibara of Port Byron after an investigation uncovered multiple counts of unlawful possession of child sexual abuse material. Special Agents initiated the case in November 2025 following an online tip from a social media platform. Extensive inquiries led law enforcement to identify Ibara as the primary suspect. Prosecutors issued an arrest warrant on March 4, 2026, and the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office apprehended Ibara the following day. He now faces five counts of Unlawful Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (Class 2 Felony) and five counts of Unlawful Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (Class 3 Felony) and is being held in the Henry County Jail.
