Illinois Minimum Wage Will Increase on January 1st

President Franklin Roosevelt and the United States Congress implemented the Fair Labor Standards Act which instituted a federal minimum wage in 1938. The first minimum wage was .25 cents per hour.

Carrie Folken, Executive Director of Business Employment Skills Team, Inc. also known as BEST, Inc. wants to remind Illinois residents that the minimum wage in the State of Illinois will increased to $13.00 per hour on January 1st, 2023.
