SHARE NOW

The University of Illinois Extension encourages children to connect with nature this summer through their Cloverbud Little Roots program. This program guides children aged five to seven in growing seven different plants, engaging them in weekly activities from mid-April through September. Participants will delve into topics like pollination, insects, the life cycle of plants, and plant care. The program includes seeds, tomato and pepper transplants, a gardening calendar, and additional gardening resources. There is no fee for participation, and the registration deadline is set for March 4th. Excitingly, participants will also have an opportunity to showcase their gardening success at various community events and in a dedicated Facebook group.
