Zachary Fretueg of Mt. Sterling was driving a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 4×4 and failed to stop at the stoplight on 67 near the Beardstown Bridge causing a
chain reaction. Fretueg rear ended Scott Patterson of Hanna City who was driving a 2005 GMC Truck, Patterson then struck Brigitte Boyce of Beardstown who was driving a 2020 Ford Utility, Boyce struck Linda Prewitt of Jacksonville who was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Utility
