Spoon River College has secured a $272,364 federal TRIO Student Support Services grant from the U.S. Department of Education. This funding supports resources for low-income, first-generation students, and students with disabilities, helping them complete their degrees and build successful careers.
For 15 years, SRC’s TRIO program has assisted over 1,200 students, offering benefits like academic advising, scholarships, tutoring, and social opportunities.
Jill Olson, the program’s director, says the renewed grant will expand their impact. Spoon River College is now accepting applications for the 2025-26 TRIO cohort. Interested students can learn more and apply online at www.src.edu.
