Sterling Police
Thursday, August 31st, Jeremy l. Tinkler, age 39 of Mount Morris, was arrested for Resisting Peace Officer, Obstructing Justice, Possession & Delivery Cocaine, Possession & Delivery of Meth Amphetamine, Drug Paraphernalia, after a traffic stop, in the 200 block of 1st avenue. Tinkler was transported to The Whiteside County Jail.
Morrison Police
On Wednesday, August 30th, at approximately 9:37 am the Morrison Police Department responded to the Casey’s General Store for a customer causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the store. During the investigation it was discovered Richard Fields, age 42, from Rock Falls, IL, committed an Aggravated Battery. Fields was taken into custody and transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
The public is reminded that these are merely charges and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
