On Wednesday, February 21st , at approximately 1 am, the Morrison Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of W. Winfield St., on a vehicle in violation of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
During the stop it was discovered Christopher Sawyer, 18 yrs. of age, from Morrison, IL, was wanted on a robbery warrant, authority Knox County. Passenger, Maverick Denning, 18 yrs. of age, from Morrison, IL, was found to be unlawfully consuming and in possession of alcohol.
Mr. Sawyer was transported to the Whiteside County Jail to await extradition. Mr. Denning was cited on scene and released.
