Officers transported Gregory Davis of Springfield from Sangamon County Jail, and multiple domestic battery citations were issued in Rushville. Traffic incidents dominated local highways, including collisions involving deer and one motorist striking a utility pole after leaving the roadway.
Weather and road conditions contributed to additional vehicles landing in ditches. The department served two summonses and issued a verbal warning, assisted motorists, supported other agencies, and handled an animal complaint. Deputies patrolled over 1,700 miles with an average of 13 daily detainees. All charges remain pending court outcomes.
