Senior Tyler Johnston’s kickoff was taken by junior Ra’Kiya Amos during KHS’s 44-15 loss to Princeton HS on Friday, September 20th. The Boilermakers play at Hall High School on September 27th.


On Saturday, September 21st, Kewanee Tennis competed at the Princeton Fresh/Soph Tennis Invitational. Chayse & Avalyn won 4th place ribbons!
Jumana Al Bayati played singles, and the results were as follows:

vs. Princeton lost 1-7
vs. LP lost 0-8
vs. Rochelle lost 0-8
vs. Sterling lost 1-7
vs. Mendota lost 1-7
Chayse Sturtevant & Avalyn Hughes played doubles, and the results were as follows:

vs. Mendota won 6-2
Chayse Sturtevant and Avalyn Hughes won three, lost two, and tied one game.

Kewanee volleyball beat Mendota in a conference match 25-13, 25-20 on September 23rd. They play on September 24th at Mendota.

The Kewanee Boilermakers Golf team took 12th place, with a score of 420, at the TRAC Boys Varsity Tournament at Frye Lake Golf Club in Sherrard on September 23rd. They play on September 26th at Princeton.

Reid Nichols placed 41st with a 99, Owen Laue placed 52nd with a 102, Jack Anderson placed 56th with a 106, Landon Sheets placed 64th with 113, Carver Neuleib placed 69th with a 137, and Elijah Mitchell placed 70th with a 138.


The Kewanee Boilermakers Soccer varsity team lost against Streator 6-0 on September 25th. They play Manual High School on October 2nd in Kewanee.
