It’s been a busy week for the Kewanee Boilermakers soccer team. Early in the week, they traveled to Dixon but came up short in a 0-2 loss, despite Jordan Ibarra’s impressive seven saves and generating 11 shots on goal. Senior night featured a junior varsity match, with Kewanee falling to Saint Bede 3-6. The regular season wrapped up Thursday at Canton, where the Boilermakers grabbed a hard-fought 3-2 win. Alan Saucedo opened the scoring, Isidro Martinez followed with a powerful free kick, and Kingston Peterson sealed the victory—the next challenge: Quincy Notre Dame in the regional semifinal on October 20, 2025
On Monday, Kewanee visited Dixon, a game where Kewanee looked superior but did not finish the plays. The Boilermakers lost 0-2.

Monday, was senior night and there was only a JV game where Kewanee lost against Saint Bede 3-6
On Thursday, Kewanee visited Canton for the last game of the regular season. The Boilermakers won the game 3-2.
The first to score was Kewanee by the hand of Alan Saucedo. Alan passed a defender and was one-on-one with the goalie and passed the goalie to score.
Isidro Martinez scored the second goal on a free kick. Isidro put a big curve and power on the kick so that the goalie had no chance to stop it.
The third goal was by Kingston Peterson on a power shot to put in the winning goal.
