The freshman girls’ basketball team clinched their third victory of the season on December 5th, edging out Erie-Prophetstown in a tight 55-53 contest. Despite being down by one at halftime, the team surged ahead in the third quarter, building a lead heading into the final stretch. Free-throw struggles allowed Erie-Prophetstown to close the gap, but the Boilermakers managed to hold on for the win. Dane Vandevelde led all scorers with 15 points, while Kyden Jones, Abe Diaz, and Alexander Ocampo each contributed 9 points to the team’s performance. The Boilermakers continue to show resilience in pressure moments.
