The American Red Cross is teaming up with Wethersfield High School’s Key Club for a blood drive on January 30th. Organizers are calling on eligible community members to roll up their sleeves and donate blood, emphasizing the significant impact every donation can have in saving lives. The event will take place in the Wethersfield Elementary Gym at 439 Willard Street, Kewanee, from 9 AM to 2 PM. Donors are asked to bring a photo ID or donor card, or two alternative IDs. Appointments are preferred and can be set up by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or visiting RedCrossBlood.org. Blood donors at this event help local graduating seniors earn scholarships, and from January 26th to February 28th, every donor also gets a $20 e-gift card.
