Sherrard Wins Girls Varsity Track Meet at Kewanee with Standout Performances

Despite the chilly temperatures, the Kewanee girls’ track team competed in their first outdoor meet of the season tonight, finishing 4th among a tough field. Sherrard secured the top spot, followed by Rock Falls and Fulton. Standout performances for Kewanee included Damaris Diaz, who took first in the shot put with a throw of 9.81 meters. Jendayia Crowe also shone, winning the 300m low hurdles and placing second in the 100m hurdles. The 4x400m relay team finished strong in third place. Five athletes earned personal bests, adding energy for their next meet, which is on Thursday, April 9th, at KHS. Find the full list of results here.
