Benefit to get Cody Bennett a standing wheelchair in Toulon on July 18th

A community fundraiser will be held Saturday, July 18, at Catalpa Grove Bar and Grill in Toulon to benefit Cody Bennett, who was paralyzed in a 2022 car accident. The event begins at 2 PM and will raise money for a $15,000 standing wheelchair that insurance denied coverage for, classifying it as a luxury despite its importance for Cody’s independence, circulation, and quality of life.

The fundraiser will feature live music by Trip Hazard, a shrimp boil, pulled pork, raffle baskets, food, drinks, and opportunities to make donations. Organizers are encouraging the community to come together for an afternoon of entertainment while helping Cody obtain the adaptive equipment he needs.
