Bureau County EMA advises against non- essential travel due to road conditions. The Bureau County Highway Department and IDOT report that roads on the west side of the county are worse than the east side of the county. They suggest you avoid traveling on the Wyanet-Walnut Blacktop north of Wyanet (especially between 2300N-2600N) and Route 40 south of Buda. “We continue to discourage non-essential travel.”
