The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has announced that one person is dead following a single vehicle accident in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 5th. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred at approximately 1:01 AM in an area on Route 6 near 1825 East. Preliminary evidence suggests that the as yet unnamed victim struck a tree before coming to rest in a ditch. The victim was found dead at the scene. The Geneseo Fire/Ambulance Services, Geneseo Police Department, and the Henry County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene. At this time, no further information can be released. A follow up release will be conducted in the near future.
