The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is participating in the annual polar plunge on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel at 2 PM to benefit the Special Olympics.  Special Olympics Illinois-Region F provides free, year-round sports training, competitions, and health training for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Here in western Illinois, the Special Olympics serve over 800 athletes who participate in skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, basketball, track and field, bocce, volleyball, flag football, softball, bowling, and golf. Proceeds from the Polar Plunge support this free programming and unified programming for local schools.

The Sheriff’s Office is halfway to its goal of $5,000.  You still have time to donate online!  Check out Henry County Sheriff’s Office’s team fundraising page at: https://support.soill.org/team/549291

Once there, you can click DONATE to give towards the Henry County Sheriff’s Office team or click on the individual plunger’s name to support their efforts directly.
