Things did not go the way of the Kewanee Boilermakers on Tuesday night as the Dixon Dukes walloped the Kewanee boys, 57 to 33. This was despite a gutty effort from Braden Clark who led the Boilers with 18 points and a season high 10 points from Davontae Jordan. It was the opening quarter that did the Boilermakers in on Tuesday night as Dixon raced out to a 14 point lead and never looked back. Dixon’s Darius Herington was the Dukes top scorer with 14 points. On social media after the game, Kewanee Boilermakers Head Coach summed up the game “Not our night.” The Kewanee Boilermakers will open their home basketball season this Friday night at 7 PM against Quest Academy. That game will be broadcast live on WKEI RegionalMediaNews.com 100.1 FM and 1450 AM with Russ Hughes on the call.
