On 2/11/2024 at 12:52 am LaSalle County Deputies investigated a single vehicle car Vs deer accident with no injuries in the area of N 42ndRD & E 2551st RD. (Mission TWP) Shellie Cartwright (54) of Sheridan was driving east on N 42nd RD when a deer entered the roadway. She was unable to avoid the deer and struck it with the front left corner of her vehicle.
On 2/12/2024 at 2:39 am LaSalle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of N 30th RD & E 16thRD. (Ottawa TWP) Sergio Ramirez Gutierrez (38) of Ottawa was arrested for no valid driver’s license. He was transported to LASCO jail and later released with a NTA.
On 2/12/2024 at 5:05 pm LaSalle County Deputies investigated a two vehicle accident with minor injuries in the area of E 8th RD & N 19thRD. (Vermilion TWP) Grant Grosenbach (39) of Leonore was driving east on N 19thRD into the intersection of E 8th RD when he struck a vehicle traveling north on E 8th RD. Melissa Chalus (47) of Leonore was driving north on E 8th RD when Grant failed to yield the right away and struck the left side of her vehicle. Grant was cited for failure to yield at intersection and suspended registration. He was released with a NTA. Melissa was cited for uninsured motor vehicle.
