The Queens from the Miss World Festival Pageant went to the OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois on Wednesday night, intending to surprise the kids with Teddy Bears, and were themselves on the receiving end of a surprise. OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois honored the Miss World Festival Pageant with a pair of trophies for their philanthropic efforts in bringing toys and financial donations to the Children’s Hospital. This year, the Miss World Festival Pageant Queens, and court, Whitney Godsil, Whitney Minton, Brynlee Bowker, Ingrid Hays, Eva Ceja Breckyn Granell, Quinn Moore and Camreigh Jacobsen delivered $8000 worth of Teddy Bears and Toys and other donations. Jeanna Moore, one of the organizers of the Miss World Festival Pageant spoke with RegionalMediaNews.com and stated:

“We are so extremely proud of all of our girls this year and their contributions to our annual Teddy Bear and Toy drive. Every year we strive to raise money to buy toys and this year the Queens and their courts knocked it out of the park. We used to go into the hospital on the evening we arrived but since Covid we have changed it up a bit. At this time of year sickness is everywhere and we do not want to take any illness in with us and do t want to t to take anything home with us. So we drop off the toys at the Jump Building across from the hospital and they bring the children to the windows for us then in the spring the older girls go with us to the hospital at Easter if not before.”

Jeanna continues:

“The evening is absolutely magical! Our Miss World Festival Organizations main goal is to “Give Back” and to teach our youth about volunteerism and joining in the ranks for fundraising to help others through a hard time! We have to teach these skills to young people so when we are gone they can fill our place. If we don’t eventually there will be no one left to help others. We would also like to thank everyone that donated Money and toys to us. We appreciate each and every donation. Even if for one moment you have put a smile on a sick child’s face at Christmas you have given them a beautiful memory! Merry Christmas to all of you and Happy New Year from the Miss World Festival Organization.”
