Chesney Responds to Court Ruling Removing Trump from Ballot

In response to the Cook County court decision this week to remove candidate Donald Trump from the ballot in Illinois, State Senator Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport) issued the following statement:

“The decision to remove Donald Trump from the ballot in this state proves the Democrat Party is not about ballot access, but only cares about ballot outcomes. We have two main political parties in this country, and having the frontrunner from one of them removed from the ballot undermines democracy and people’s right to make decisions at the polls. While indicative of what we might see in a third-world country, it has no place in the political landscape of the greatest county on earth.”
