Eats ‘N’ Beats @ The District
As part of the ongoing America 250 celebration, Rock Falls Tourism invites residents and visitors to continue honoring our nation’s 250th anniversary with an evening of food, entertainment, and fireworks on Thursday, July 2nd, at the RB&W District Park in downtown Rock Falls. The celebration will kick off Fourth of July weekend and provide families and visitors with an opportunity to come together and celebrate America’s heritage in a festive riverfront setting.
Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. with a variety of food vendors, local businesses, and craft vendors offering something for everyone to enjoy. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and spend the evening along the riverfront. With ample open space throughout the RB&W District Park, families and friends can comfortably gather and enjoy the patriotic celebration.
Live entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. with The Solution, a dynamic rock band with a passion for music spanning from the swinging ’60s to the edgy 2000s, taking the stage at the RB&W Amphitheater. From 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Got Your Six will keep the celebration going with their rock and hard rock sound, performing favorite hits from the 1990s and 2000s.
Around dusk, professional fire performer Mike Baker will captivate audiences with an impressive fire show near the amphitheater area. The evening will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk presented by the Sterling Rock Falls Jaycees.
ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE: Please be advised that East 2nd Street from Avenue A to Wood Avenue will be closed to traffic to accommodate the food vendors participating in our Independence Day Celebration at the RB&W District Park from 1pm to 11:00pm.
For those parking in the lots across 1st Avenue and Avenue A, a golf cart shuttle will be available throughout the evening to assist individuals with disabilities, families with small children, and anyone who may have difficulty walking to the event area.
There is also a beautiful pedestrian walkway that goes under the 1st Avenue Bridge, connecting the 1st Street parking area and lower dam parking area to the RB&W District Park, providing convenient and easy access to all of the festivities.
We appreciate your patience and look forward to celebrating with you!
