Numerous Agencies Respond to Missing Woman Report

On Monday May 1st, at 5:05pm, Whiteside County Deputies responded to Lawrence Park Sterling for a report of a woman in the water. Responding and assisting with this report, were Sterling and Rock Falls Police and Sterling and Rock Falls Fire Departments. The reporting female told Deputies she was at Lawrence Park with her adult daughter, who was along the river bank and fell into the river.

At this time Sterling and Rock Falls Fire Department put their boats in the water to begin a search. Deputies along with other officers continued to investigate the information which was being reported. After a period of time Deputies were able to talk with other family members and the reported female in the water was located working, and in fact was never at Lawrence Park.

The reporting female was taken to CGH Medical Center to receive some treatment for some Mental Health Issues. No names are being mentioned in this press release, but this press release is being sent out to encourage individual to seek treatment for Mental Health issues for themselves or family members

Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Sterling and Rock Falls Police, Prophetstown Police, Illinois DNR, Sterling and Rock Falls Fire Department, Prophetstown, Yorktown and Erie Fire Departments.
