Rock Falls Police Continue Search for Shooting Suspect

At approximately 11:36am on Wednesday, April 12th, Rock Falls Police were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the 300-block alley of 7th Avenue. When officers arrived, they located a vehicle that had been damaged by gunfire and multiple witnesses.

It was learned that an occupant of a vehicle had fired at least 2 shots toward the individuals in the damaged vehicle. There were no reported injuries. The suspect fled the scene in a white vehicle which was located, unoccupied, a short time later. The vehicle has been impounded. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Rock Falls Police Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Nickolas A. Fowler, age 18, as a result of the investigation into the shots fired incident. Fowler is charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. Bond on the warrant is set at $100,000.00.
