Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office Thanksgiving Enforcement Numbers

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic safety campaign November 18th thru the 28th, reminding motorists to buckle up and drive sober. The “Click It or Ticket” and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” mobilization was conducted by Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois to reduce highway fatalities

During the campaign, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office issued6 seat belt citations, 0 child car seat citations, 0 DUI arrests, 0 felony arrests, 0 stolen vehicles recovered, 0 fugitives apprehended, 1 suspended/revoked licenses, 1 uninsured motorists, 1 speeding citations, 0 reckless driving citations, 0 drug arrests. 

“Our officers patrol yearround to keep motorists buckled up and impaired drivers off the roads,” said Sheriff John F. Booker. We do this to save lives and ensure all of us make it home safely at the end of the day.” 

The Thanksgiving enforcement effort is made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticketcampaigns
