    WHAT
    Very cold wind chills as low as 20 to 30 below expected.
    WHERE
    Portions of north central and northwest Illinois and east central and southeast Iowa.
    WHEN
    From 3 AM to noon CST Monday.
    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Sparks Notes – Kara Sahagian, Macomb Park District

Kara Sahagian from the Macomb Park District returns to the K100 Studios to talk about some upcoming events for the Park District, including their Foos For Families event on Sunday, April 7th at the WIU Rec Center from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It’ll be a fun day where teams will have the opportunity to compete in  a human foosball tournament until a winning team is crowned and their names are etched onto the trophy. Registration is $30 for a team of 6-8, with 100% of proceeds benefitting the children and families served at The Center for Youth and Family Solutions.
