Mediacom Communications is introducing the Xumo Stream Box for its Xtream Internet customers. The new streaming device, powered by a ‘global entertainment operating system,’ is being offered at no additional monthly charge to Mediacom customers. Tapan Dandnaik, Mediacom’s Senior Vice President of Operations, Product Strategy, and Consumer Experience, described it as a ‘consumer-friendly technology combining Mediacom’s superlative broadband speeds with a top-notch streaming experience.’ According to Mediacom the features include voice-search capabilities, integrated content recommendations, and instant access to hundreds of preloaded streaming apps.
