Congratulations to the winners of the 2023–2024 VFW Auxiliary Post 8078 Patriotic Art Competition. The winners of the competition this year are Kewanee High School students. “A big “thanks” to Mrs. Lisa Stisser, KHS Art, for once again encouraging her students to participate! Sixteen students submitted artwork,” said the VFW Auxiliary Post 8078 in a Facebook post. The finalists received cash, awards, and certificates. Noelia Martinez’s oil/pastel artwork advances to the Department of Illinois Competition. The Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest is a VFW Auxiliary National Scholarship for eligible students in grades 9–12.
