January 15
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 9th Street to assist a parole agent from the Illinois Dept of Corrections.
While patrolling,l officer located a disabled vehicle near the Chester Street railroad crossing. Tarletons had been contacted and got a tire fixed so subject could move from the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of NE 7th Street to deliver a message for a business in Galesburg. The message was delivered.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
While patrolling, officer located a semi tractor trailer broke down in the 500 block of West Division Street.
January 16
Officer spoke to a resident by telephone about a civil issue involving a subject failing to pay for snow removal.
Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of West Division Street for a disabled semi tractor trailer that was blocking traffic. As the result, the driver, Leon James, 65, Oklahoma City, was arrested for improper operation of a commercial vehicle after it was discovered that he did not have a CDL license. The semi was moved to private property. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 2nd Ave to meet with a complainant that found a debit card on the ground. Officer has been attempting to contact the owner to return it.
While patrolling, officer located a loose dog in the 800 block of NE 3rd Ave. The animal owner was able to retrieve the dog.
Officer, along with the fire dept and Stark Co Medic, were dispatched to a two vehicle accident in the 100 block of North Center Ave. A crash report was completed.
January 17
Officer was dispatched to the intersection of NW 5th Street and NW 5th Ave for a pickup truck vs power pole accident. There was no damage or injuries reported. The truck was pulled out by a friend and continued on.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of NE 3rd Street for a complaint involving criminal damage to vehicle involving a cut tire. It appeared to be weather related and not a criminal act.
Officer assisted the fire department in the 1000 block of Courtyard Estates for an activated fire alarm.
January 18
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 4th Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to retrieve a wallet that was dropped in a business parking lot. The owner was contacted and the wallet was returned.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 2nd Street for a water line that ruptured inside a business. An employee from the water department was contacted and was able to shut the water off for repairs.
January 19
While patrolling, officer located a vehicle stuck in a snow pile along the roadway in the 00 block of NE 2nd Street. Officer, along with a passing motorist, were able to push the vehicle back onto the roadway.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of NW 6th Street for a motorist assist for a vehicle that was stuck. Tarletons responded and was able to get vehicle back on it’s way.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4th Street for a subject that had cut themselves and was having a mental health crisis. They were taken by ambulance for treatment / evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to assist Henry Co with a K9 on a traffic stop several miles west of Galva.
January 20
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of SW 4th Street for a loose cat complaint. Officer was not able to locate it.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SE 6th Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was determined to be a child playing with the phone.
Officer assisted Henry Co with a civil paper service in the 00 block of SW 4th Street.
January 21
Officer was dispatched to the 300 Front Street to assist Henry Co with his K9 partner.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SW 4th Street for a welfare check on a subject having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NW 5th Ave for an open door complaint. The door was secured.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on SE 3rd Ave for a suicidal juvenile that was out-of-control. The minor was transported by ambulance for treatment / evaluation.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of NE 1st Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a child playing with a phone.
