January 29
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Commercial Street to assist a business.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SW 4th Street for a loose dog complaint. Officer was not able to capture the dog, which returned to a porch in the 300 block of SW 3rd Street.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of SE 2nd Ave for a 9-1-1 hang up call. It was determined to be a mis dial.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 4th Ave for a loose dog complaint. It was returned to it’s owner, who was advised of the Illinois leash laws.
Officer was dispatched a few miles north of town for a complaint involving a Galva resident reportedly walking from Atkinson to Galva. The subject refused a ride home and continued walking.
Officer was dispatched to a business in the 00 block of SW 2nd Street to recover contraband that was found at this location. This remains under investigation as video footage is being reviewed.
January 30
Officer was dispatched to meet with a subject at the Galva PD to register as a murderer or violent offender against youth as he was moving to a Galva address.
Officer was dispatched to the 100 block of North Exchange Street to remove an unwanted subject after a verbal disturbance.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 7th Ave for a civil standby to retrieve property.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Street for a subject having a mental health crisis and calling Henry Co dispatch repeatedly.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was confirmed to be an accidental pocket dial.
January 31
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Front Street to check on a suspicious vehicle that was occupied and had been parked there for a few hours. Subject was tired and had pulled over for a short nap.
As the result of a semi-tractor trailer that became stuck in the soft shoulder on the roadway in the 1000 block of SE 2nd Street, Randy Isaman, 57, Burlington, IA, was arrested for improper operating of a commercial motor vehicle for not having a valid CDL License. He was released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a theft report. It was determined to be a subject having a mental health crisis.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SW 5th Street for a physical altercation and to remove an unwanted subject. A report was forwarded to the State’s Attorney’s Office for review of possible charges.
February 1
Officer was dispatched to the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 call that plotted there. Officer checked the area, but did not locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer, along with the fire department, Stark Co Medic, and the Henry Co Sheriffs Office, were dispatched to a semi tanker truck rollover accident on Route 34 near 2400 East. The driver was flown by helicopter to a Peoria area hospital for treatment.
Officer met with a resident at the Galva PD to talk about a civil matter.
Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of NE 3rd Ave for a wild animal complaint involving a possible sick or injured raccoon. The animal was relocated to a nearby wooded area.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a welfare check on an elderly subject. Officer was not able to locate.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Street after multiple death threats were received by Henry Co dispatch. The suspect was detained and transported to Robert Young for an involuntary committal into mental health services.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of SW 3rd Street for a welfare check. The subject was fine.
The Henry Co Sheriffs Office was dispatched to the 00 block of NE 4th Ave for a physical altercation taking place. As the result, Justin Slichenmyer, 34, and Bryce Shores, 27, both of Galva, were both arrested for aggravated battery. They were both transported to the Henry Co jail.
February 2
Officer, along with Stark Co Medic and the fire department, were dispatched to Route 34 just west of town for a single vehicle accident with an unresponsive driver. The subject was transported by ambulance for treatment.
Officer was dispatched to a residence on NE 4th Street to check the welfare of a subject there. They were fine.
Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of SE 2nd Street for a 9-1-1 hang up call. The call plotted at a cell tower. Officer was not able to locate anyone needing assistance.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 7th Ave for a civil standby to retrieve property.
February 3
While patrolling, officer went to the 100 block of NE 9th Street after locating an unlicensed vehicle in the roadway. As the result, Donald Ensley, 37, Galva, was issued an administrative warning ticket (AWT) for violating the city’s vehicle ordinance.
Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of SE 7th Ave for a civil standby to retrieve property.
Officer was dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of SE 4th Street. This complaint was unfounded.
Officer was requested to assist Kewanee PD in an attempt to locate a suicidal subject that may be in the Galva area. The subject was ultimately located in Geneseo.
Officer, and his K9 partner, were requested to assist Henry Co, with several traffic stops around the Galva area.
February 4
Officer was dispatched to the Exchange Street railroad tracks for a crossing arm malfunction. BNSF was contacted for repairs.
Officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Main Street for a 9-1-1 open line call. It was a mis dial.
As the result of a traffic stop in the 00 block of SE 3rd Street, Alex Muller, 38, Galesburg, was arrested for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was transported to the Galva PD for processing and then released with a required court date.
Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of SE 2nd Street for a reckless driving complaint. The suspect vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver stated he was overly tired.
Officer was dispatched to the 00 block of SW 4th Street for a theft report.

January 29
Scott Ford, 47, Media, IL, was issued a citation for speeding in the 1100 block of SE 2nd Street.
January 30
Nicole Barry, 40, Galesburg, was issued citations for failure to secure new registration upon transfer of ownership and having expired registration in the 900 block of SE 2nd Street.
February 4
Patrick Hammons, 67, Galva, was issued a citation for having expired registration in the 800 block of SE 2nd Street.
