    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Some sporadic wind chills below 30 below may still occur along and north of Hwy 20 this afternoon and late evening.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

Preliminary Hearings from January 16, 2024

Cole Carlson:  Cole Carlson remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail. Carlson waived his Preliminary hearing and Formal Arraignment.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 22, 2024, at 9 AM.  Carlson is charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle (Class 2 Felony), Burglary (Class 3 Felony), Possession of Burglary Tools (Class 4 Felony), Criminal Trespass to Vehicles (Class A Misdemeanor), and Theft <$500 (Class A Misdemeanor).  Read more here.

James Riske:  James Riske remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail.  According to court documents, Riske grabbed a person over 60 years of age by the throat.  A Jury Pre-Trial is scheduled for February 22, 2024, at 9 AM.  Riske is charged with Aggravated Battery/Victim 60+ (Class 3 Felony) and Domestic Battery/Physical Contact (Class A Misdemeanor).  Read more here.

Barbara Boss:  Attorney Camp has a conflict with the case and was allowed to withdraw.  Attorney Dyer was appointed.  A Preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 29, 2024, at 2 PM.  Barbara Boss is charged with Theft of Government Property <$500 (Class 4 Felony).  Read more here.

Nickolus McPherson:  Nickolus McPherson waived his Preliminary hearing for case 2024CF6 and was released on February 1, 2024.  McPherson failed to appear at his February 5th Preliminary hearing.  The defense requested a continuance, and the state requested a warrant, but a continuance was granted.  A Preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 22, 2024, at 9 AM.  McPherson is charged with Possession of Meth <5 Grams (Class 3 Felony) and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon (Class 3 Felony) for case 2024CF29, and Possession of Meth 5<15 Grams (Class 2 Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class 4 Felony), Driving Under the Influence of a Drug (Class A Misdemeanor), and Driving on a Suspended License (Class A Misdemeanor) for case 2024CF6.
