In a thrilling High-A baseball match at Modern Woodmen Park, Steven Zobac led the Quad Cities River Bandits to a narrow 2-1 victory over the Beloit Sky Carp. Dominating from the mound, Zobac tossed six scoreless innings, achieving a season-high seven strikeouts. The Bandits’ offense came alive in the third inning with critical sacrifice flies from Jack Pineda and Carter Jensen, establishing a 2-0 lead. Despite a solo homer by Torin Montgomery in the seventh, the River Bandits held on, thanks to Ben Sears securing a six-out save, his sixth of the season. The teams will clash again Thursday as the River Bandits aim for a third consecutive win.
