Woodlawn Arts Academy, in cooperation with title sponsor Savant Wealth Management, presents a Roaring Twenties Bootlegger’s Bash Fundraiser on Saturday, February 25th. Proceeds from the event benefit Woodlawn Arts Academy. Fundraiser tickets, $50 each, are available in person at Woodlawn Arts Academy during regular office hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.

The fundraiser will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on February 25th in “The Speakeasy,” in the J. Mark Beaty Performance Center inside Woodlawn Arts Academy. Participants will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres; a cash bar; a 50/50 drawing; and basket, drink and dessert raffles. 1920s attire is encouraged, and a password to “The Speakeasy” will be given upon ticket purchase. The Bootlegger’s Bash ticket also includes a VIP ticket to Sterling High School’s musical theater production.

Immediately following the fundraising event, participants will meet at The Commons at Sterling High School where a group photo will be taken on the set of “It’s Nice Work … If You Can Get It.” At 7:30 p.m., enjoy VIP seating, including water and popcorn, for the Sterling High School musical at Centennial Auditorium.

“We are very excited to partner with Savant Wealth Management and Centennial Auditorium to offer this fun night out in support of Woodlawn Arts Academy,” said Christy Zepezauer, Woodlawn’s executive director. “Part of our mission is to provide quality artistic opportunities to the Sauk Valley community, and we think everyone will have a ‘roaring’ good time at this event!”

Each year, in an effort to help people of all ages develop, promote and share their talents, Woodlawn provides hundreds of classes, lessons and events in visual arts, dance, music, theater and education, reaching thousands of people throughout the Sauk Valley. The academy is a 501(c)3 non-profit educational organization, and a third of its operational budget depends on donations.

In the event of cancellation, all ticket sales will be considered a donation to Woodlawn Arts Academy.

In addition to The Great Gatsby title sponsor Savant Wealth, other sponsors include The Bee’s Knees sponsor Eckburg Insurance Group, and The Speakeasy sponsors Candlelight Inn, McFalls Berge & Associates and Selmi’s Flower Shop.
