Woodlawn Arts Academy’s summer musical theater intensive students performed Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” for more than 950 audience members in late June at Centennial Auditorium, Sterling High School. Forty-six fourth through eighth graders from Sterling, Rock Falls, Dixon and Polo took part in the three-week program. The camp and shows were directed by Faith Morrison, Mardi Huffstutler, Jordann Langner-Fishman, Grace Wadsworth and Ashley Aurand.
Woodlawn’s fall musical theater production will be for second through fifth graders and will feature Disney’s “101 Dalmatians Kids.” Registration will open in mid-July, with rehearsals starting in mid-August and performances in October. Those interested in participating can watch woodlawnartsacademy.com, social media and the Academy’s fall program guide for details.
