Sterling Police
On Wednesday, March 8th, Don Charleston, age 43 of Sterling, was arrested in the 2100 block of 15th avenue, after a 911 call reporting a violation of an order for protection. Charleston was transported to The Whiteside County Jail.
Dixon Police
Ricky C. Griffin Jr., age 44, of Harvey, Illinois, was arrested in the 1600 block of South Galena Avenue on Thursday, March 9th, at 1:42 a.m. for Driving Under the Influence – Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence – BAC Over .08, Speeding, Improper Lane Usage and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Griffin was processed and released with a court appearance.
Morrison Police
On Sunday, March 5th, at approximately 7:41 pm, Morrison Police Department responded to an assault, at 630 E. Lincolnway, Morrison. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested and charged Avitar Torrez, age 35, of Morrison, with Aggravated Domestic Battery (Class 2 Felony). Torrez was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Thursday, March 9th, at approximately 6:30 pm, Morrison Police Department responded to 203 E. Knox St., Morrison. Jeremy S. Wagner, age 43, of Morrison had an active warrant for Escape/Violation of Electronic Home Monitoring Device. Morrison Police took Wagner into custody and transported him to the Whiteside County Jail.
