Sterling Police
Tuesday January 3rd, Billy R Ansbach, age 49 of Sterling was arrested during a traffic stop at E. 3rd and 14th ave. Ansbach was charged with resisting a peace office and given a notice to appear.
Dallas J Ellis age 46 of Sterling was arrested at the same traffic stop at E. 3rd and 14th ave. Ellis was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, and transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
Dixon Police
Maliah A Link, age 22, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 2100 block of Cummins Street on January 3rd, at 2:00 PM., for Battery. Link was processed and released with a court date.
Michael J. Waszak, age 37, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue on January 2nd, at 5:51 a.m., for Retail Theft. Waszaknwas processed and released with a court date.
Arturo Pena, age 55, of Sterling, Illinois, was arrested in the 400 block of First Avenue on December 31st, at 1:55 AM., for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol and Improper Lane Usage. Pen was processed and released with a court date.
The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
