Sterling Police
Meagen E Crandall- age 22 of Sterling, was arrested following a traffic stop in the 700 block of W 6th Street, on Sunday, March 19th at 3:26am. Crandall had Whiteside Co Warrant for Resisting a Peace Officer and Wisconsin Warrant for Violation of Probation and was transported to Whiteside County Jail.
On Saturday, March 18th, Zachary A. Jones, age 34 of Sterling was arrested after a traffic stop at E 6th and Locust. Jones was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting a Peace Officer, Driving While License Suspended, Expired Registration, and transported to county jail.
Dixon Police
Kianda L. Yarbrough, age 26, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 700 block of West 2nd Street on Saturday, March 18th, at 12:35 a.m. for Domestic Battery. Yarbrough was taken to the Lee County Jail.
Justin M. Charleston, age 26, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 700 block of West 2nd Street on March 18th, at 12:35 a.m. for Domestic Battery
(Subsequent Offense) and Domestic Battery. Charleston was taken to the Lee County Jail.
Morrison Police
On Monday, March 13th , the Morrison Police Department was notified of a stolen vehicle out of Lee County. At approximately 9:21 pm the vehicle was observed traveling eastbound in the 700 block Lincolnway, Morrison.
As a result of an investigation, Morrison Police took into custody three female juveniles, ages 9, 14 & 15. The three juveniles were out of Dixon, IL. A charge of Possession of a stolen vehicle (Class 2 Felony) was forwarded to the Whiteside County Juvenile Justice System for review. All juveniles were released to their parents. Morrison Police were assisted by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department and Fulton Police Department.
The public is reminded that these are merely charges and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
