    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.

Kewanee Defeats Mendota in Boys Basketball

Kewanee Boys Basketball went on the road on Tuesday night and defeated the Mendota Trojans. Four Boilermakers players scored in double figures in the win with star Braden Clark setting the pace with 15 points. Colson Welgat, Blaise Lewis, and Cottrelle Reed backed up Clark each scoring 11 points in the win. Final score 56 to 48. The win moved Kewanee to 19 and 7 on the season, 7 and 2 in conference play. The Kewanee boys will be back on WKEI on Friday against Hall.
