State Adds Five Counts of Dissemination of Child Porn Against Toulon Man

The State added five counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography to the case against a 19-year-old Toulon man on December 19, 2023.  Matthew R. Shipp is now charged with 10 counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography/Victim under 13 and he remains in the custody of the Henry County Jail.  Shipp waived his Preliminary Hearing and Formal Arraignment on November 17th and his Attorney filed a Motion for Pre-Trial release on November 27th.  A Motion Hearing is scheduled for February 2, 2024, at 11 AM and a Jury Trial is scheduled for March 4th.  The case is part of Raoul’s ongoing work, in collaboration with federal law enforcement agencies and local law enforcement officials throughout Illinois, to apprehend offenders who download and trade child pornography online.

Shipp is charged with ten counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography/Victim under 13 (Class X Felony).
