Sterling Police
On Monday, Gregory Kendrick, age 34 of Sterling was arrested on a domestic battery charge and trans ported to The Whiteside County Jail.
On Sunday, Jaiden Witmer, age 20 of Sterling, was arrested following a domestic disturbance call. Witmer was also wanted on a Lee County Warrant and transported to the Lee county Jail.
Darren Johnson, 52 of Sterling, was arrested for retail theft and criminal trespass to property, in the 200 block of west 3rd street, and transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
Roger Box, age 52 of Sterling, was arrested for violating an order for protection. Box was transported to county.
Dixon Police
Jessica C. Engelkens, age 38, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 1300 block of North Galena Avenue on May 28, 2023, at 4:36 AM., for Retail Theft. Engelkens was processed and released with a pending court date.
Morgan D. McGuire, age 24, of Dixon, Illinois, was arrested in the 500 block of South College Avenue on May 26 th , 2023, at 2:46 p.m. for a Lee County Warrant for Failure to Appear. McGuire was processed and released with a mandatory court appearance.
Christopher D. Wessels, age 34, of Rock Falls, Illinois, was arrested in the 200 block of East Progress Drive on May 26 th , 2023, at 9:50 a.m. for a DeKalb County Warrant for Failure to Appear. Wessels was processed and released with a mandatory court appearance.
Polo Police
William A. Groeling, Jr, 16, Lanark, was cited for Illegal Squealing of Tires. Groeling was released on an I-Bond.
Zakary X. Johnston, 17, Forreston, was cited for No Valid IL Driver’s License and Operation of a motor vehicle with an Expired Registration. Johnston was released on a Promise to Comply.
Seth A. Wiseman, 22, Sterling, was cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and given a Written Warning for No Rear Registration Plate Light. Wiseman was released on an I-Bond.
Joseph L. Bradshaw III, 25, Freeport, was cited for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and a verbal warning for No Rear Registration Plate Light.
Tristan C. Truitt, 19, Polo, was cited for Illegal Use of a Cell Phone while driving. Truitt was released on an I-Bond.
The charges are merely an allegation and all parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
